Pre Games Support
Help prepare event spaces, assemble materials, and support last-minute logistics before the Games kick off.
Arrivals Team (Airport & Accommodation)
Be the first friendly face the clubs will see! In this role, you’ll either be welcoming teams at Christchurch Airport and guiding them to their coaches, or supporting a busy and exciting check-in day at the University of Canterbury.
Games Village
A varied and exciting role, supporting the delivery of a range of engaging activities for the athletes and helping to keep the village tidy. Moving activity pieces as required.
Accommodation
Based at the University of Canterbury, this accommodation focused role involves supporting teams with their stay - answering questions, assisting with meal service, and reporting any issues to Events HQ to help ensure everything runs smoothly.
Opening Ceremony
Assist with event pack in, ushering athletes and guests in and out of the Stadium, and general support to the Management Team as required across the event delivery.
Closing Party
Help create a fun, celebratory atmosphere by assisting with event set-up and pack down, managing various areas during the event, and making sure all our athletes have a great party.
Sports Support (All Sports)
Sports delivery focused roles, that could include Sports Officials support, marshalling, Sports Info Desk support and assisting with Medal Ceremonies.
Event Runner & Admin
Act as an on-the-go helper for Events HQ, responding quickly to needs across venues. delivering items, filling urgent gaps and helping across a wide range of tasks.
Transport Team
Join the Transport Team and help keep things moving! You'll assist athletes onto the correct coaches, manage parking areas, and support transport plans across all venues to ensure everyone gets where they need to be safely and on time.
Venue Team
A varied team that offers up many opportunities to assist with General venue set up & pack down, including Brand & Signage, Info Desks management, venue wayfinding and helping distribute athletes' lunches during competition time.
Media Team
Are you a great photographer, videographer, or journalist? Help us tell the story of the Games from our Media HQ.
Club Liaison
In this role, you’ll be the main point of contact for one of our 42 clubs—someone they can check in with and rely on throughout the Games. You’ll welcome them on arrival, stay in regular touch, and drop by various events to make sure they feel supported
Post Games Support
Aid in packing out venues, gathering equipment, and helping organisers wrap up operations efficiently.
Team Lead
A Team Lead will assist the Management team by acting as a direct report to other volunteers. You will be responsible for ensuring all volunteers within your area scope are well supported and understand their role and responsibilities.
